VALIDATE: COg. will analyze the results of the contextual framework that was developed in the Idea phase and determine if the idea is practical as a solution to the identified issue.

PAIR: COg. will request volunteers to support the Idea Creator and the COg. team to provide work, advice, or critique. COg. understand the value of time, resources, and talent and will include and paid work in the project fundraising.

COg. will support the team in the development of a sustainable project plan through standardized templates. If COg. is not directly involved in the work of the project the organization will serve as project management, fundraising, and work to raise project awareness primarily working with the Team Lead as the point of contact for the project

COg. will work with the team after the plan has been develop to implement the project. COg. will be transparent through the implementation process with reports of time, labor, material, and money useage. COg. will also work with the local community to build awareness of the project.

COg.s's goal is to empower the community to create the change the project is implementing. The Team is expected to work closely with the organization or individual taking the porject ownership and ensuring any applicable industry certifications or accrediation avaible are achieved.

A plan for evaluation of the project and second order effects will be developed during the plan phase and incorporated into the design and documentation of the plan. The evaluation plan will be evidence based and tailorable to the project’s desired qualitative and quantitative impact.

Scott Polley Scott alternate

Scott Polley - Founder

Scott Polley is an architectal designer. He believes that everyone should have access to equitable urban systems through policy and the built environment. As a designer, he aims to create spaces that foster a sense of place and belonging to the community. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Architecture and minor in sociology, receiving the Book Award in 2014 for the studio’s top design project. He furthered his education at Pennsylvania State University’s Geodesign Graduate Certificate in 2021. Scott is currently working on a Masters of Science in Design Management from LSU. His design philosophy does not require grand gestures to change the world but rather understanding the need to design with respect to individual dignity impacts everyone’s world.

Catherine Polley Catherine alternate

Catherine Polley - Director of Assessment and Evaluation

Dr. Catherine Polley is a Board Certified Emergency Physician and obtained a Master of Public Health with a global health concentration. She works in global health education and training, leading quality through monitoring and evaluation for medical and disaster related courses. She completed medical school at Northeast Ohio Medical University in Ohio, Emergency Medicine Residency in Michigan, and the MPH at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Maryland.
